Audio/Video Equipment

MCC Faculty can enhance the learning experience using audio/ video equipment in the classroom.

All current full and part-time faculty and staff are eligible to use Mott Community College owned AV equipment for MCC sponsored courses, programs and activities. Priority is given to instructional users. Equipment may be checked out for one class period at a time. A/V Delivery will deliver and pick up equipment to classrooms (SLBC and Lapeer have equipment on site and deliveries are made by the local staff). NEW POLICY - As of January 1st, 2008 we are only taking online orders.  The 24 hour notice rule will still apply.  Orders place during the weekend, when we are closed, do not constitute 24 hour notice.  This change helped us streamline our delivery system and give us, and our clients, the ability to track order status and create a paper trail.  If you are having problems with your OCS log-in & password, you need to contact the computing support services @ on campus 2-4357, off campus 767-4357.  If you have any questions regarding our ordering system, please call (810) 762-0096. 

Equipment includes:

• Smart Carts – computers for Internet access for instruction or presenting computer generated lessons. Use this to give a Blackboard or email demonstration.
• TV’s with VCR or DVD
• Laptops - these are available for checkout for up to one week.
• Slide projector
• Overhead projector
• Video projector
• Overhead screen
• Mic and Cable
• Cart
• Cassettee Recorder/Player
• Flip Chart
• Audience Response System - clickers (48 business hours notice required)

The smart classroom:

• Access the Internet for instruction
• Present computer generated lesson plans
• Give demonstration on the use of:
  • Blackboard
  • Email
  • Program-specific software

Remember to shut-down smart classrooms when finished with class. Shut-down extend projector lamp hours.
